Doha, Qatar: Turkish side Altinordu held Bayern Munich 1-1 to enter the quarterfinals of the Al Kass International Cup at Aspire grounds on Saturday.
Bayern, who had to win to have any hopes of progressing, took the lead through a Moritz Mosandl penalty in the 14th minute, but the Turkish boys quickly got back on level terms with Enis Destan scoring in the 33rd.
Altinordu topped Group C with four points while Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel also progressed as the second-placed team with three. Bayern finished with a solitary point.
Meanwhile, in Group D Spartak Moscow defeated Suwon Samsung 3-1 to book their place in the last eight.
The Koreans needed just a draw to progress behind group toppers Real Madrid, but the Russians proved too tough for them.
