THE Aspire Zone became a lively confluence of cultures and colours as it brought together people from various nationalities.
Leading dignitaries including Minister of Culture and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali and ace former Qatari athlete Talal Mansour were present to lead the proceedings.
The activities kicked off with the Fun Run, where leading athletes like Mabrook Saleh and Idris Mousa took part.
At the Aspire Park, health and wellness experts offered advice and recommendations on leading a healthy lifestyle at stations staffed by experts from Aspetar’s ‘Namat’ programme.
Activities at the Aspire Dome included multi-sport skill development, football performance and science, which was overseen by a host of professionally-trained coaches from the ASPIRE Academy.
Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) CEO Mohammad Khalifa Al Suwaidi said, “The celebrations this year lived up to expectations, thanks to the collective experience and expertise of the AZF and its member organisations — Aspire Academy, Aspetar and Aspire Logistics.
“Together we offered rich and varied programmes of activities for people of all ages. There were many highlights this year, including ASPIRE Academy’s Football Performance and Science activities, Aspetar’s Nordic Walk and 5,000 Step Journey, as well as several community programmes by Aspire Logistics,” said Al Suwaidi.
