DOHA: Pakistan will play their 'home leg' of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualification Round 1 match against Cambodia at the Al Ahli Stadium here on Tuesday.
Both the teams had their pre-match press conference, which was organised by the Qatar Football Association on Monday.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7pm local time.
Pakistan, who lost to Cambodia 2-0 in the first leg, will need to score more to overcome the deficit and qualify for the second round.
Asia’s lowest 12 nations are engaged in the first round with the six winners will join the leading 34 nations in the second in September.
Having played the first leg in Cambodia on an artificial turf and under heavy downpour, Pakistan will hope to bounce back on a grassy pitch.
“Yes, we had a lot of difficulties in Cambodia. They had beaten some major teams at their own backyard, but we can pull off a big win here,” said one Pakistani official.
