The Doha leg of FINA/Airweave World Cup series will be held at the Hamad Aquatic Centre on September 22 and 23. The two-day event will be the fourth of nine-leg series. The opening leg will be held in Moscow, Russia.
Berlin (Germany), Eindhoven (the Netherlands), Dubai (UAE), Hong Kong, Beijing (China), Tokyo (Japan) and Singapore are the other stopovers.
“It’s always a great honour to host such a prestigious FINA event. The tournament also gives us an opportunity to see so many outstanding swimmers in action,” said Qatar Swimming Association President Khaleel Al Jabir.
This time too, Qatar is expected to field many youngsters and Al Jabir hoped it would give them the right exposure.
