Doha: QNB Stars League side Al Sadd signed right-back Hamed Ismail from Al Arabi till the end of the season in a bid to strengthen their defence.
Hamed started his career at Al Arabi, then plied his trade with Al Rayyan and Al Sadd before coming back to the Reds recently.
The former Qatar international represented Al Rayyan for several seasons and won a number of titles with them. He also lifted the Emir’s Cup and Qatar Cup with Al Sadd.
Hamed is a versatile player who can also play in central defence and midfield, and that prompted Al Sadd to make him their first winter signing this season.
Al Sadd are second on 27 points, two behind leaders Al Duhail in the QNB Stars League, which will resume in January.
