The MotoGP season is set to begin on March 26, but world champion Marc Marquez has not yet found his groove.
In the final pre-season tests which concluded at Losail last week, the Repsol Honda rider crashed three times and finished 10th overall. The Spaniard is not worried though and spoke about his goals and life beyond the paddock.
How did the Qatar tests go?
It hasn’t been the best pre-season tests. I crashed many times. Anyway, it’s better if these kind of things happen during a test. Hopefully, when I come for the race, I’ll be able to manage it better.
Describe your perfect Sunday if there isn’t a Grand Prix.
I love spending them on a sofa, watching the Spanish Championship, MXGP, whatever, and in the afternoon maybe watching a football game, definitely one with Barca! We’re always travelling around the world, so when you’re at home you just want to rest and recharge your batteries.
You’re just 24, but already have a lot of experience. Do you feel old?
‘Old’ isn’t the word! I still feel like I’m a boy, not yet a grown-up man! I’m still learning and have many things to do in my career and life.
