DOHA: Moroccan striker Youssef El Arabi, who returned from national-team duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, netted three goals (29th, 59th, 66th) as Lekhwiya made mincemeat of Al Khor 6-0 in a 19th-round match of the Qatar Stars League and draw five clear on top of the standings.
South Korean attacking midfielder Nam Tae-Hee netted a brace (39th, 80th) while Tunisian forward Youssef Msakni, who too was away for the continental championship, too chipped in (73rd).
Meanwhile, Al Rayyan routed Al Ahli 5-1.
Abdulmajid Enad once again found the back of the net to put Rayyan ahead in the 17th minute while Ahli equalised through Yacine Chikhaoui in the 30th.
Rodrigo Tabata, who came on as a susbtitute, then restored the lead in the 70th while Sebastian Soria (75th), Koh Myon-Gin (82nd) and Abdulrahman Al Harazi struck (88th) at regular intervals to make it a big victory for Michael Laudrup's men.
The win helped Rayyan increase their gap with El Jaish to four points and cut the gap with Sadd to four.
