Augusta, United States: British Open champion Francesco Molinari had five birdies in a five-under par 67 on Friday to share the clubhouse lead with Jason Day and Brooks Koepka as weather halted play at Augusta National.
The leading trio were in the clubhouse on seven-under par 137, one stroke in front of Dustin Johnson and South Africa's Justin Harding.
On the course, Australian Adam Scott and South African Louis Oosthuizen were both at six-under on the back nine when the siren sounded because of lightning in the area.
Tiger Woods, who claimed the last of his four Masters titles back in 2005, had just birdied 11 and put his tee shot on the par-three 12th five feet from the pin when play was halted.
The 14-time major champion was two-under for the day and four-under for the tournament with four to play.
Rory McIlroy, trying to bounce back from a first-round 73 as he pursues a breakthrough Masters win to complete a career Grand Slam, eagled the par-five eighth hole to reach one-under for the tournament with eight to play.
