Pep Guardiola needs to show more patience and learn from others if he wants to succeed at Manchester City, according to his former team-mate and ward Xavi Hernandez.
Guardiola was out-thought by Italian coach Antonio Conte as Chelsea rallied to beat City 3-1, thus extending their winless run at home to four matches.
“Pep needs to be patient and listen to others. He has to learn from them. At the end of the day, it’s the result which keeps a coach in his job,” said Xavi.
Xavi marshalled the midfield of Guardiola’s Barcelona side and together they won 14 titles, including two Champions League. The Spanish coach could not replicate the same success with Bayern Munich despite dominating in Germany.
