DOHA, Qatar: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) marked International Workers’ Day on May 1 with a large number of QFA staffs who celebrated the occasion with Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications, Ali Al Naimi, Head of Competitions and Hamad Al Thani, Rights and Licensing Specialist.
The employees were given gifts as a symbol of appreciation for their hard work and Emir Cup match tickets were also distributed.
“International Workers’ Day is a very important day and is recognised worldwide. QFA has celebrated this day as a way to illustrate its recognition and appreciation of their efforts and hard work,” said Al Kuwari.
International Workers’ Day, also known as Labor Day or May Day, is a celebration of laborers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labor movement and occurs every year on May 1.
QFA officials were enthusiastic to interact with the staffs and give them the chance to share the excitement of the Emir Cup by setting up an area where they can hold the trophy and take their own pictures with their friends and fellow colleagues.
