QATAR Swimming Association (QSA) President Khaleel Al Jabir expressed the hope that the clubs would do their best in producing the best talents.
“The clubs play an important role in our development programmes. We need their support as we hope to
create a bigger talent pool. I congratulate Al Sadd for their outstanding performance at the season-ending Qatar Long Course Cup,” Al Jabir said, as the 2016-17 season came to an end with the age-group event at the Hamad Aquatic Centre.
Sadd won the title with 70.36 points, followed by Al Shamal (69.11) and Al Arabi (68.36).
Al Ahli, Al Khor, Al Gharafa, Al Rayyan, Qatar Sports Club and Al Wakrah were the other teams in action.
“This is one of the most important tournaments on our calendar. We appreciate the efforts of all clubs as the QSA wants more involvement of kids from next season onwards,” said Al Jabir.
