Both Shahaniya and Sailiya created several chances, but failed to convert them as the match ended goalless. Sailiya started well, but it was Shahaniya who enjoyed more possession in the first half. Lekhwiya played virtually a second string against Arabi, yet managed to win, thanks to Nam Tae-Hee’s goal just before half-time. Arabi started well and looked capable of pulling off a shock win, but a red card to defender Youssef Ramadan in the 35th minute upset coach Osvaldo Oliviera’s plans as they surrendered.
