THE Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) and Total, who have a long-standing relationship which dates back to 2001, hope to extend their tie-up in future.
Energy giant Total has been the title sponsor of the WTA event for the 15th year in succession and reaffirmed its commitment.
“This tournament is a great achievement, not only because of the presence of world-class players and successful organisation, but also the fact that it underlines Qatar’s capacity to successfully host sports events. We’ve been sponsoring this tournament for 15 years now and it has become a part of our culture. We wish all the best to the players,” said Total E&P Qatar Deputy Vice-President for HR, Communications and CSR Christophe Eon while addressing a joint Press conference with QTF General Secretary Tariq Zainal Al Darwish.
Al Darwish shared Eon’s views.
“We’re happy to have a trust-worthy partner like Total on board. We hope to continue our strong bond for future tournaments. Total has been our valuable partner for years and it shows our commitment.
“As we celebrate the tournament’s 15th anniversary, this sponsorship enables us to continue to deliver a high-quality event for both players and fans, elevating the game’s profile in Qatar,” Al Darwish said.
