Qatar Motorsports Academy celebrates End Season On Road Races

Losail, Qatar: Qatar Motorsports Academy (QMA) celebrated the End Season On Road races at Losail Circuit Sports Club (LCSC), with a total of 44 children taking part in the event.

Aspiring young riders competed in different categories, with 21 kids competing in Minimotard 70, 13 in MiniGP 110 and 10 in Supermotard 125.

In the Mnimotard 70 final race Italian rider Andrea Giacchero completed the eight laps in 7:05.512sec. Spanish rider Yunes Mansilla was second and William Herschend from Denmark came third. The fastest riders of this category competed in the Superfinal race where the French rider Nolaan Macary, who also won the Off Road Race last weekend, cliched victory in 6:31.291sec.

Australian rider Jim Nikitopoulus came second while Malaysian Johann Ameer Zarfhan finished third.

In MiniGP 110 final race Adam Reda from Egypt completed the 12 in 8:28.732 to take the victory. Spanish riders Bosco Gallego and Carlos Baquero finished in second and third place respectively. The Superfinal of this category was won by the Qatari rider Hamad Al Sahouti who clocked 7:57.181.

Al Sahouti also won the Off Road race last weekend. Another Qatari Saad Al Harqan was second and Swede Alex Salome finished third.

In Supermotard 125 Superfinal race Spaniard Angel Perez completed the 12 laps in 9.32:963 to take the victory. Alan Mumo Kamau from Kenya finished second and German rider Patrick Puerstinguer completed the podium.

LCSC Vice President and General Manager Khalid Al Remaihi, CEO Juan Baquero, QMA head Jose Luis Cardoso and the MotoGP rider Maverick Vinales presented the trophies.

Qatar Minister of Culture and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem al Ali, Oman Minister of Sports Affairs HE Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed bin Said al Mardhouf Al Saadi and QMMF President Abdulrahman Al Mannai also posed with the winners.
