Doha, Qatar: Qatar defeated Uganda by 28 runs in the second Twenty20 International at the Asian Town Stadium to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Opener Kamran Khan scored 68 in 52 balls to be adjudged the Player of the Match.
Batting first, Qatar made 154 for four, thanks mainly to Kamran's solid batting. Mohamed Tanveer made an unbeaten 29 while Imal Liyanage scored 22.
Uganda failed to come up with a solid reply and could only manage 126 for seven in their chase.
For Qatar, Mohamed Malik took two for 17, Mohamed Nadeem picked two for 30 and skipper Iqbal Hussain Chaudhry grabbed two for 28.
Qatar Cricket Association President Yousef Jeham al-Kuwari was the chief guest at the match and gave away the Player of the Match Award to Khan.
