QATAR won the Under-17 title in 14th GCC Championship (25M) at the Hamad Aquatic Centre last week.
The hosts collected a total of 51 medals (32 gold, 11 silver and eight bronze).
The UAE came second with 42 medals (nine gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze) followed by Bahrain on 29 (six gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze).
Saudi Arabia won three gold, one silver and a bronze to finish fourth followed by Oman (one gold, five silver and 10 bronze).
“We congratulate the boys on winning the title. The performance shows that our youth development is on the right path,” said Qatar Swimming Association President Khaleel Al Jabir.
Arab Swimming Confederation chief Taha Al Kishry crowned the winners.
