Doha, Qatar: Mohamed Rizlan hit a six off the last ball to help Qatar to a thrilling five-wicket victory in the third and final Twenty20 match against Kuwait at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
The win also helped Qatar bag the series 2-1.
Qatar Cricket Association President Yousef Jeham Al Kuwari, who took the initiative to organise the series, handed the prizes and trophies to the two teams in presence of other QCA officials.
Chasing 204 for victory, Qatar needed four runs off the final delivery and Rizlan, who remained unbeaten on 38, did it in style. Mohamed Tanveer made 50 and captain Tamoor Sajjad scored 37.
Earlier, Ravija made 88 and Adnan scored 80 in Kuwait’s total of 203. Mohamed Awais Malik grabbed two wickets for Qatar.
