Doha, Qatar: Tamoor Sajjad’s all-round performance helped Warriors Club beat Tusker Club by three wickets and win the Qatar Airways Premier Division Cricket Tournament at the Asian Town Stadium, Industrial Area.
After being asked to bat first, Tusker only managed 232 all out in 46.4 overs with Nawaf top-scoring with 60. Akash scored 44 and Waleed made 41.
For Warriors, Sajjad took three wickets, Mohamed Ikram claimed two for 13 while Imraz Rafi also got two.
In reply, Warriors reached the target with eight balls remaining.
Murad Khan got 53 in 48 balls, Adnan Mirza hit a 20-ball 32 while Sajjad, who was declared the Man of the match, scored a responsible 85-ball 43.
Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) President Yousef Jeham al-Kuwari was the chief guest, while Ali Akbar Farabi, Qatar Airways Ticketing Operations Manager (Qatar) was the Guest of Honour.
Also present at the prize distribution ceremony were QCA Assistant Secretary-General Eisa Ali Al Ghanim, QCA Public Relations Director Eisa Al Yaqoub, QCA Operations Manager Manzoor Ahmad and QCA Domestic Cricket Head Gul Khan Jadoon.
