Anita Wlodarczyk is likely to start her new season in May at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Challenge Meeting in Beijing, China, where she is the defending champion.

Though the season starts with the IAAF Diamond League in Doha on May 5, Wlodarczyk would not be in action as women’s hammer throw is not part of the calendar.

The Poland star topped the IAAF Hammer Throw Challenge for the third consecutive time and was short-listed for Athlete-of-the-Year award which went to Ethiopian distance runner Almaz Ayana.

The 31-year-old will conclude her training camp in Doha, where she is accompanied by her coach Kaliszewski Kysztof and physiotherapist Diorian Lomza, on December 18.
